Growing up in Sydney, Dr. Chinnappa completed his schooling at James Ruse Agricultural High School before moving to Melbourne for medical school at Monash University. After graduating, he returned to Sydney to work as a junior doctor and pursued a Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) at Sydney University.
